On Tuesday July 8, Premier Doug Ford, Minister of Health Christine Elliott and Minister of Economic Development, Victor Fedeli visited Plexxus and Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) in Burlington, to thank both organizations for their joint efforts throughout the pandemic. They were joined by Effie Triantafilopoulos, MPP Oakville North-Burlington, Stephen Crawford, MPP Oakville and Jane McKenna, MPP Burlington.

Through their collective efforts, the MMC Plexxus Sourcing Collaborative (MPSC) procured and delivered $800 million in personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical supplies to front-line health workers during COVID-19.

“You folks out there are the real heroes. It’s amazing how we all pulled together,” said Premier Ford. “We have a great group of suppliers, and there’s nothing in Ontario that we can’t make. Never again are we going to rely on foreign countries and foreign leaders dictating what we get and what we don’t get. We couldn’t have done this without you, and I want to thank each and every one of you.”

The group of visitors toured the facility and offered thanks and congratulations for the joint effort.Plexxus is very proud to have played such a critical role in this great team effort!
